HARRISON KLINGMAN CAPTAIN
Harrison is one of the most dedicated distance runners in school history, his outstanding performances have contin- ued in cross country, where
he has now written his name on Latin’s All-Time Top 25 5K times list. Harrison is a gifted leader, a student of his sport, and an ideal team captain who aspires to run at the collegiate level. He will leave an indelible mark on distance running at Latin, and we are honored by his contributions to the cross country program.
KYLEIGH PANTHER
Kyleigh is a determined ath- lete who combines training intensity and dedication with a happy, enthusias-
tic attitude that makes our practices more purposeful and fun. Since her freshman year Kyleigh has infused an infectious spirit into the team that has helped the girls find success every season. She has emerged as a team lead- er, often leading pace groups and helping her teammates gain strength and confidence. Kyleigh is poised for an excel- lent senior season.
MADELEINE PEASE-CAPTAIN
Madeleine has served as a catalyst for one of the most successful periods in the his- tory of the girls’ program. She is a versatile athlete who has won All Conference honors in cross country, and the state championship in the high jump. Described as the “heart and soul of the Hawks,” this team captain has been part of two conference champion- ships and one state cham- pionship as well. Madeleine excels in every part of her
life as a student, athlete, and leader.
MARY SCHLEUSNER-CAPTAIN
It is very difficult to reach the highest levels of competitive excellence in one sport. To do so in four sports borders on the impossible. Mary occupies a rare place, even in the proud tradition of Latin athletics, of being an elite-level compet- itor in four separate varsity programs. In cross country,
she has established herself
as one of the Hawks’ all-time greats, earning All-Conference and All-State honors for three straight years, infusing the team with spirit, enthusiasm, and competitive drive. Mary is a humble and delightful hu- man being who, from the mo- ment she walks into a situation, instantly makes it better. She is an inspiration to all.
DAN SCHWARZ
Dan has a graceful, fluid running stride, and he has steadily improved in each season of cross country and track. He can often be seen training up during practice to really challenge himself against the best competition and training partners he can find. Dan possesses a calm demeanor and an eagerness to compete which serves his team well. He is poised to cap off a great career with an excellent senior season.
