Congratulations Seniors!
JANIE BALANDA
Janie joined the varsity team last year and has brought much-welcomed depth to our front line. Her skill set, athleticism, and soccer IQ keep our attack danger- ous when she comes on the field. She
is a wonderful teammate who is giving, caring, and supportive to all. The coach- ing staff is so pleased with her contribu- tions to our team, on and off the field. We wish her the best at Wofford College in the fall
TYLER NELTNER-DEVINE-CAPTAIN
Tyler has been a varsity starter for 4 years. She has played outside-back, but now plays center-back where she leads and directs Latin’s back line. She has a great ability to read the game and know where to be and to help direct others at the same time. She is a good tackler, has outstanding patience on defense, and is a good possession defender who understands when
she needs to be safe. Tyler is a great teammate with a soft-spoken person- ality who leads by example and earned All-Conference honors this year. She will continue to play collegiately next year at Centre College.
MARY GALE GODWIN-CAPTAIN
Mary Gale is a four-year member of the varsity team. Over time, Mary Gale has helped us as an outside back,
and a center forward, but mostly as
a left-flank forward. She is the con- summate competitor, as she always brings her A-game. She is fast, phys- ical, and very skilled at all positions. She plays well with both feet, including the ability to take corners from both sides. As a sophomore and again as a senior, Mary Gale was All-Conference, All-Region, and All-State. This year, she has 23 goals and 12 assists, giving her 40 goals and 22 assists in her Latin career. Mary Gale will continue to play collegiately as she heads to Rhodes College next year.
