ELIZABETH HUNTER-CAPTAIN
Elizabeth has been a varsity player for four years. She has played center-back, but has predominantly been our holding midfielder. Elizabeth is a tremendous defender in the midfield who is a great tackler and possession player. She is physically imposing and is outstanding
in the air. She turns defense into instant offense by winning the ball and finding an open teammate. Elizabeth is a pas- sionate player, and is one who you would never guess soccer is her second sport. She earned All-Conference recognition this year and we know she will continue to have great success as she heads to the University of Virginia in the fall.
KATIE SANGER-CAPTAIN
Katie is a four-year varsity member. She has incredible ball skills that allow her to be one of Latin’s best dribblers, passers, free kick takers, and all-around players. She has played defense and midfield
for the Hawks, and can play well at any position. Her ability to read the game is excellent, and she has an energy and level of fitness that allow her to cover tremendous ground. Recognized as All- State, All-Region, and All-Conference, Katie finishes her Latin career with 10 goals and 27 assists. Over her Latin career she has 10 goals and 27 assists. Katie will continue her education and her soccer career at Wofford College next year.
HOPE MORROW-CAPTAIN
Hope is playing her second season with the varsity team after our short- ened COVID season last year. She is the fourth consecutive Division I keep- er for the Hawks and she is incredibly solid. Hope is a good shot-stopper, can elevate well, and is excellent with her feet and hands in all phases of her distribution game. With all of these excellent attributes, her leadership and communication on and off the field may be where she excels the most. An All-Conference and All-State honoree, Hope has 1.1 goals-per-game average with 11 shutouts. Hope will continue to play collegiately for Coastal Carolina next year.
CAROLINE VAN NORT
Caroline joined the Charlotte Latin varsity after three years of strong play with our JV team. She brings add-
ed depth to the Hawks’ defensive
line with the extra benefit of being a left-sided player. Caroline can also move up top on the left flank to help with offense if needed. Caroline is strong, fast, skillful, and composed. She is a good tackler, solid in the air, and a good passer. She is a great teammate who contributes a very positive, upbeat energy on and off the field. We wish her all the best at the University of Arizona next year!
