E ducationist, sportsperson and changemaker, Nooraine Fazal is the co-founder and
managing trustee of the CISCE (Delhi) and Cambridge International (UK)-affiliated Inventure
Academy, Bangalore aka Bengaluru (estb.2005), a K-12 co-ed day school which has established a
national reputation for providing progressive holistic education. In the EducationWorld India School
Rankings 2019-20, Inventure is ranked #3 nationwide and #2 in Karnataka (and Bangalore) in the co-
ed day schools category.

Conceptualised and designed by Fazal as a new-age school, Inventure Academy admitted its first
batch of 29 students in 2005. “Inventure was established to create a blueprint for New Learning for
a New World. Our purpose is to instil conviction and capability in our students to realise their full
potential. We nurture them to become socially responsible citizens prepared to excel anywhere in
the world,” says Fazal.

An alumna of Boston University (USA) who quit a promising corporate career with IBM and Reuters
to return to India and become “a citizen with a say,” Fazal actively participated in the India Against
Corruption movement and is a member of the Bangalore Political Action Committee (B.PAC). Also
an independent director at Cigniti, a publicly listed software testing company, she is a yoga and
fitness enthusiast and avid golfer who has represented India in international club tournaments.
