Teacher Teacher, yes teacher,
Online teaching, no teacher,
Work from home, no teacher
Only for your kids, ha ha ha
’m a women, a wife, a daughter-in-law, an
entrepreneur, a social worker but above all I’m
Ia teacher. Unlike everyone I’m also facing many
challenges in this lockdown period. When our school decided for online sup-
port class for kids, I was little reluctant for it. I believed its just against a teach-
er’s principle because, we are the ones who always tell them to avoid screen
time and now we have to encourage doing that. On a second thought as a pre-
school teacher questions rolling around my mind were - What about learner’s
education? Is such a long break affordable during their foundation year?
And many more. Answer to all these question was “no.” I recollected a good
saying –“It shouldn’t matter how slowly a child learns, as long as we are en-
couraging them not to stop.” And than teacher inside me was all ready to make
a difference in her children’s life. Challenges were many, but I truly believe
-where there is will, there is always a way. And the new journey started .I met
my new set of kiddoz and I just did what I love to. Today when I’m writing
this I can just say, with my kids I’m making unforgettable memories. Its just
like my any other school day, which I don’t want to miss. I agree beginning is
tough but once you start do not look back. Everything is balanced, my routine-
my kids learning, fun, screen time and their lovely gesture of awaiting to meet
Urvi teacher everyday. Thankyou to all those who understand and support this
teacher-child relationship. Lastly, my important learning from all this which I
would like to share with each one is - as Michael Morpurg says-It’s the teacher
that makes the difference, not the classroom. A poem dedicated to all teachers
Teacher-take a moment of pride
Built with an unique feature,
Feel blessed to be a teacher.
To be child’s favourite good morning,
You smile even when he is yawning.
Not an easy job to rob their heart,
Task is just like pulling bullock cart.
Hiding self pain to stop their rain,
But that’s the only satisfactory gain.
It’s a great effort to send crying faces back home with a smile,
Though what counts is how you maintain your profile.
It’s a quick journey from unknown to known, but
the child till end remembers your tone
Memories with them are never blown, learning’s
from a teacher can cover milestone.
