WrItInG WorKshop. Writing a Business letter.
• A business letter is a formal way to communicate between one organization and another, an organization with their clients or clients with an organization.
• An important element in writing a business letter is to write in a professional manner.
• There are several uses for a business letter, (complaint, persuasive, trying to promote, etc.) be sure in knowing what yours is.
• You need to be precise and clear; the organization reading your letter usually does not have time to read unnecessary details. (Get to the point!)
• Always be polite and courteous.
• If you expect a response be sure to ask for it.
• Business letters should always be typed.
• White paper is the most appropriate one to use.
