4. Avoid attachments unless they have been requested.
5. You should have a closing phrase like: Best regards
6. Always check for grammar and spelling mistakes, write a business e-mail just like you would a business letter, avoid emotion symbols and shortened words. Remember your spell checker will not catch all the spelling or grammar mistakes so be sure you read it before you send it.
7. Avoid using only capital letters since this is a sign of yelling.
8. Always write your name at the end, don’t assume that the recipient will
know who you are just by your e-mail address.
Imagine you are asking for the job of your dreams. You are going to write two letters and an e-mail:
1. A business letter asking for the job.
2. A business e-mail asking for the same job.
3. A letter to your parents telling them you got the job.
Remember to follow all the rules you just read.
