Writing Workshop. Research Report
As you already know a research report paper is the result of an investigation
of a certain topic, based on reliable sources.
To write a research report you should:
1. Choose a topic.
2. Find information about the topic you chose.
3. Write the main subject of your report. (Main Idea).
4. Make a preliminary outline to help organize your ideas before you start writing your report.
5. Write your report based on the information you gathered. Your report should have an introduction, a body and a conclusion.
Following the writing process start writing your research report.
PREWRITING:
1. Choose your topic.
2. Find reliable information about the topic you chose.
Try to find as many different sources as you can. (Books, magazines, newspapers, online, etc).
Make note cards this will help you organize your information. Using index cards write information you would like to include in your paper. It is important to use a card for each idea. On each card write the source on the top and the page number.
