      Rule #4 Some indefinite pronouns (some, any, none, all, most) can go with singular or plural verbs depending on how you use them in a sentence.
     Examples:
None of the men are what the princess is looking for.

Most of the food is prepared by the KingĀ“s personal chef. singular verb
Example:
singular
Either the King or the Princess is helping the servant. singular singular
singular
Neither the Princess nor the King sees the youth getting out of the water. singular singular
What happens if one subject is plural and the other is singular and they are joined by or or nor?
Use the verb form (singular or plural) which will agree with the subject closer to the verb.
Example:
plural
Neither the boy nor the girls see how he attempts to get the gold ring. singular plural
