Amy frowned, “I don’t really know yet. Do you have a dog or cat?”
Suzy looked confused, “No, of course not. My mom and dad are both allergic to dog hair, and my sister too.”
Jeff looked at the teeth marks, “It’s because this looks exactly like what my dog, Buster, does to our table back home.”
Suzy frowned, “No dogs have been in here, not that I know of. Let’s go ask my sister.”
They all walked upstairs and knocked on a bright pink door.
“Come in!” said a squeaky voice. They all did. In the room was a little girl, surrounded by stuffed animals of unicorns and puppies, along with many other plush
animals.
“Who are you?” the little girl asked, eyes wide.
“I’m Amy Blackwood, and these are Jeff and Jake Wildenbotcher. And we are the neighborhood detectives, the Crime Busters!”
