“What are you guys here for?” said the little girl, frowning.
“We are here to investigate the case of the missing turkey,” said Amy.
“Oh, right... that...” said Suzy’s sister, looking at her fuzzy sweater, and plucking fuzzy things off it, and blushing a little.
Amy lifted an eyebrow but didn’t say anything.
Jeff asked, “Hey, we wanted to know if there have been any dogs here lately?”
Suzy’s sister’s eyes opened wide, “Dogs? Of course not!”
Jeff and Jake both nodded at the same time. “Right,”said Jake.
They all walked out of the room.
“Ok, so if it wasn’t a dog, what do we do now?” asked Jeff.
Amy looked thoughtful. “Let’s check out the yard, I have a hunch about this missing turkey.”
Suzy, Amy and the twins walked outside.
They all stood outside, “Shhh!” said Amy. She listened for a second and then nodded. She walked to a door and opened it. In it there were a few bones and a tiny adorable puppy.
