Welcome to the 6th Annual Heroes in Education Awards Dinner hosted by the North Valley Regional Chamber
of Commerce. We’re thrilled to recognize 10 outstanding local educators for their impactful contributions to
our schools and communities.
The North Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce takes great pride in maintaining strong connections with our
local schools through our Education Connection meeting initiatives. These meetings create opportunities for
collaboration between educators and businesses, but tonight is about honoring the true changemakers — the
educators whose dedication shapes the future.
As Nelson Mandela famously said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the
world.”, the educators we honor tonight embody this truth, shaping not only the minds of their students but also
the future of our communities. Through their tireless efforts, they inspire curiosity, cultivate resilience, and
empower the next generation of leaders.
I have always believed that the business of education is not about making money—it’s about changing lives.
True success in education is measured not in profits, but in the dreams realized, the barriers broken, and the
futures transformed. Every student impacted, every life uplifted, is a testament to the power of education and the
educators who dedicate themselves to this noble cause.
I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to my family, our Board and Committee members for their dedication
in making this event possible. A special thank you to Bonnee Lallouz, Chair of the Education Committee, for her
unwavering support in advancing educational initiatives in our community.
I deeply appreciate the transformative power of dedicated educators, and I’m honored to stand before you tonight
as we celebrate these exceptional individuals. These awards are a testament to the profound impact educators
have on countless lives and the futures they help shape. Thank you for joining us in honoring these remarkable
Heroes in Education.
Sincerely,
Andreas Farmakalidis
