Meal Periods

               All employees based in New York (non-exempt and exempt) are entitled to a 30-minute unpaid
               meal break between 11:00a.m. and 2:00 p.m. for shifts of six hours or longer that extend over
               that period. Employees working a shift of more than six hours starting between the hours of 1:00
               p.m. and 6:00 a.m. are allowed at least 45 minutes for an unpaid meal period at a time midway
               between the beginning and end of their shift. In addition, employees whose shifts begin before
               11:00 a.m. and end after 7:00 p.m. are entitled to an additional unpaid meal period of at least 20
               minutes between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.  During meal periods, the employee is completely
               relieved from duty. Any employee who believes that they were not provided a meal period that
               complies with this policy should inform Human Resources or another member of management
               immediately.



               Volunteer Emergency Responders

               Employees  will  be  granted  time  off  on  an  unpaid  basis  to  perform  emergency  duties  as  a
               volunteer firefighter or volunteer ambulance service personnel during times when the Governor
               of New York has declared a state of emergency. Employees may substitute accrued vacation pay
               for any unpaid portion of leave to perform such emergency duties.

               Voting Time Off

               Employees who do not have sufficient time outside of their regular working hours to vote in a
               statewide election may request time off to vote. If possible, employees should make their request
               at least two days in advance of the election. Up to three hours of paid time off will be provided,
               at the beginning or end of the employee’s regular shift, whichever will allow the freest time for
               voting and the least time off work.

               Crime Victim’s Leave

               Any employee who is a crime victim may take unpaid leave to appear as a witness, consult with
               the district attorney, or attend a proceeding related to the crime. The employee must request
               such leave prior to the day of their attendance and may be required to provide verification of
               attendance. For purposes of this policy, “victim” includes the aggrieved party (or the aggrieved
               party’s next of kin if the aggrieved party is deceased as a result of the offense), the representative
               of a victim, a good Samaritan, or a person pursuing an application or enforcement of an order of
               protection.

               Blood & Bone Marrow Donor Leave
               Eligible employees working an average of 20 or more hours per week will be granted up to three
               hours of leave on an unpaid basis in any twelve (12) month period to donate blood. Eligible
               employees working an average of 20 or more hours per week will be granted up to 24 work hours
               of leave per donation on an unpaid basis to donate bone marrow. Employees may substitute sick
