NADIEB’S SOUTHERN STYLE COLLARD GREENS
The cleaning process, tear the

Sauté the onions then add ½ cup brown sugar, once onions start to caramelize add ham and smoke meat
of choice. Continue to sauté on medium fire for 15 mins.
Now it’s time to add the collard greens. Start by filling the pot with greens. Once full season with half of
your Cajun seasoning, half of your garlic powder, half of your onion powder, and ½ can of chicken broth.
Place lid on so that greens can steam/cook down.
Once greens have cooked down, add the rest of the greens and remaining seasonings. Other half of chicken
broth is optional.
Reduce heat to low and let greens simmer for 35-40 mins stirring occasionally. Once collards are tender
to your liking turn off let cool and enjoy!
