Golf & Fishing Trail
Day 1 Arrive in Many and play 18 holes at *Cypress Bend Golf Course. Make time to go bass fishing in
Toledo Bend Lake. This 186,000-acre lake provides fishermen with record lunker bass (more than 10
pounds) and an abundance of great freshwater fish. Dine and stay at Cypress Bend Resort where
stunning views of the golf course and Toledo Bend Lake will keep you immersed in the beauty of
Louisiana even when you’re just waking up or winding down or enjoying the restaurant’s southern cuisine.
Day 2 Swing through Alexandria for an overnight and stay at one of their many hotels, including the Hotel
Bentley, a historic hotel in downtown Alexandria. Play 18 holes at *OakWing Golf Club in Alexandria,
then continue east to Delhi to stay at Black Bear Lodge, located by Poverty Point Reservoir State Park, the
park includes a 2,700 acres man-made reservoir offering watersport activities, swimming, hiking and fishing.
Day 3 Play 18 holes on Louisiana’s number one public golf course, *Black Bear Golf Club. After an early round
of golf, rent a boat or hire a guide for fishing on the reservoir then visit the Poverty Point UNESCO World
Heritage Site, a story 3,400 years in the making, considered one of the most significant archaeological
finds in the country with Native American ceremonial mounds built between 1700 and 700 B.C.

Day 1 Play a morning round at Pete Dye’s masterpiece, *TPC Louisiana, then head down south for a unique
Louisiana fishing experience. Charter guides are available so you can experience fabulous saltwater
fishing. Catch a giant tuna on an offshore fishing trip or reel in a red fish on a deep-sea fishing boat.
Day 2 After a morning relaxing after your fishing trip, head to St. Mary Parish to enjoy 18 holes in the heart of
the Atchafalaya Basin, *The Atchafalaya at Idlewild in Patterson. Overnight in St. Mary Parish.
Day 3 Charter a boat and head out to the Atchafalaya Basin. Stop at Doiron’s Landing for supplies and
snacks and get ready to catch largemouth bass and crappie. Wind down in Lafayette with 18 holes
at *The Wetlands.
Golf & Gaming Trail
Day 1 Start in Central Louisiana and play 18 holes at *Tamahka Trails Golf Course at Paragon Casino Resort.
Try your luck at slots, table games or poker. Enjoy the spa or the indoor or outdoor pool and stay in a
luxurious room at the resort.
Day 2 Head south to *Koasati Pines Golf Club located at the Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder. Experience
the thrills and excitement of the largest gaming floor in the region, featuring the games you like, the
jackpots you love, and the personal service you deserve. Choose to stay in one of the two hotels and dine
at one of the nine restaurants at the casino resort.
Day 3 Finish strong and play 18 holes in Lake Charles at *Mallard Golf Club, a Scottish links inspired golf
course. If you are still in the “swing,” Country Club at the Golden Nugget Lake Charles and
Contraband Bayou Golf Club are only a “drive” away.
