COME TASTE WHY THE NEW ORLEANS AREA IS LAUDED FOR SOME OF THE MOST INVENTIVE
AND DELICIOUS FOOD IN AMERICA
NEW ORLEANS
EAT YOUR WAY THROUGH NOLA THIS FALL
While fall in New Orleans may look and feel much different than in years past, the flavors remain the same! It is easily one of the most
delicious times of the year. Seasonal favorites like gumbo and oysters come around, annual events and festivals (virtually), and the value
of prefix menus are just a few things cookin’ this fall in NOLA.
REVEILLON DINNERS
A New Orleans Creole dining experience that dates back to the mid-1800s. The Creoles celebrated the start of Christmas with a big family
meal when they returned home from midnight mass. Today the best restaurants in town serve up decadent four-course Reveillon Dinners in
the spirit of this classic tradition throughout the month of December. One of the many special and festive ways to celebrate the holidays in
New Orleans.

VIRTUAL TASTINGS
It’s not just the food and music that bring people to New Orleans, it’s the people…and a good, strong cocktail. These virtual events have
become so much more than just tastings, but social gatherings bringing together our local community and biggest fans for an escape for the
current reality.
Sazerac House is hosting Virtual Tastings centered around a new cocktail each week. Learn all about whiskey, rum, bourbon and other spirits.
The virtual tasting is free to participate. Cocktail kits are available for purchase and curbside pickup in New Orleans. A portion of the sales
benefits the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation.
From the cocktail queen herself, Drink & Learn with Elizabeth Pearce is perfect for a virtual Zoom party for a group of 10 or 20 participants.
Cocktail demo options include the French 75, Ramos Gin Fizz, Martini and Sazerac, plus more. Tune in for the demonstration and stay for the
stories that bring the famed cocktails to life.
FOOD UNITES AND SUPPORTS OUR COMMUNITY
On March 17, the Krewe of Red Beans, a group that holds a popular walking parade during Mardi Gras, began raising money to buy food
from locally owned New Orleans restaurants to feed healthcare workers fighting to combat COVID-19, an effort that became known as “Feed
the Frontline NOLA.” It quickly grew and in six weeks over 100,000 meals were sent to doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers engaged
directly with COVID-19 patients, spending over $1,000,000 in the local economy and supporting over 50 restaurants and coffee shops.
When hospitals stabilized the group pivoted to ease the pain of the pandemic for culture bearers -musicians, Mardi Gras Indians, Social
Aid and Pleasure Club members, artists and other cultural figures in the New Orleans community - by providing food-love and employment
through a new program calls “Feed the Second line.” Second lines are an important piece of our city’s deep culture as are these musicians and
artists this initiative is supporting.
