BREAD PUDDING WITH RUM SAUCE



      Bread pudding                   Bread pudding

      15 oz. of white sandwich bread  Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large
      2 ½ cups of sugar               bowl, tear bread slices into small
      5 eggs
                                      pieces. Add the rest of ingredients
      3 ½ cups of skim milk
                                      and stir until mixed well. Coat a 9
      2 tbsp. vanilla
                                      x 13 inch pan and pour in mixture.
                                      Allow mixture to come to room
      Rum sauce
                                      temperature, about 45 minutes.
      ¼ lb. butter
      1 cup sugar                     Bake for 45 minutes or until
      1 egg                           puffed up and golden brown. Let stand for 30 minutes.
      ¼ cup white rum
                                      Rum sauce

                                      Cream butter and sugar in mixer at high speed, until light and creamy. At low speed, add egg

                                      and mix until blended. Then add rum and mix on high for 20 to 30 seconds until light and
                                      fluffy. Serve atop the bread pudding.
