Nowell Park Recreation Center
The newest Joliet Park District facility, the Nowell Park Recreation Center, opened in October of 2018. The $7.7 million facility includes a multi-purpose gymnasium, a 2500 square foot fitness center, 2 lane walking track, multiple community rooms and an early childhood education classroom.
The space will be available for rental for birthday parties, events and meetings. Additionally, they will offer pre-school and early childhood education classes, sports leagues and summer/holiday camps.
Nowell Park Preschool Outdoor Classroom
This area will feature garden plots and an outdoor sensory nature area for children who participate in the early childhood educa- tion classes and the pre-school program.
