SHREVEPORT SIMULTANEOUS REVIVAL – UNITY IN THE COMMUNITY
The third year “Shreveport Simultaneous Revival -- Unity in the Community,” was held Sunday – Wednesday nights, September 21-24, 2025. The Simultaneous Revival is a creation of Pleasant Hill’s own, Pastor Reginald G. Reid, Sr., who said, “The Shreveport Simultaneous Revival exists to glorify God by spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the preaching and teaching of His Word. Our aim is to cultivate a spirit of unity among churches, families, and neighbors in our community. We are also committed to investing in non-profit organizations that provide vital resources, encouragement, and ongoing support to strengthen and uplift the Black community.” Other participating churches included Mt. Canaan B.C.; Morning Star, B.C.; and Lake Bethlehem B.C. Each night, from 7-8:30 p.m., participating churches held revival services featuring an evangelist at their church, and afterwards, pastors and their members traveled to Pleasant Hill to attend the “Late Night Worship Experience.” The uniqueness of having the Late Night Worship Experience is that the offerings given were donated to organizations serving the Black community. Pastor John R. Adolph of Antioch Baptist Church, Beaumont, Texas, served as the guest speaker for the “Unity in the Community” opening service, and Pastor Frank Harris, Jr. served as speaker for three nights at Pleasant Hill. Overall, this year’s Simultaneous Revival was second to none!
