MINISTRY OF THE QUARTER
“CLIMBING JACOB’S LADDER”
The “Climbing Jacob’s Ladder” is also known as the children’s ministry. Sis. Jenna Seets, who serves as the ministry director and her staff are a vital part of ministering to children at Pleasant Hill. Not everyone has the ability to work with young children, ages zero to five, but this staff does an outstanding job of providing care needed for the little ones to keep them occupied during church services and activities.
Their primary duties and responsibilities are to provide a safe, nurturing, Christ-centered environment for children ages 0-5; supervise playtime, bible lessons, songs, and age appropriate activities; assist with feeding, diapering, and toileting as needed; ensure children are signed in/out safely with proper
parent/guardian verification; comfort and care for children who are upset or anxious; teach simple Bible stories, prayers, and foundational faith concepts; encourage sharing, kindness, and positive behaviors; keep the nursery clean, sanitized, and organized before and after services; communicate any concerns, incidents, or special needs to parents and church leadership; support children’s spiritual, social, and emotional growth through loving care; and coordinate the ‘Smile of a Child’ quarterly activities.
We are pleased to know that our children are safe in the hands of our “Climbing Jacob’s Ladder Ministry Staff”, and we thank them for all they do to towards providing another vehicle for exposing these precious children toward Christian development. ============================================================================================================
