VISION 2030
Deacon Winzer Andrews made a presentation to our members called, Vision 2030, during Sunday worship service on March 2, 2025.
Here is a summary of his presentation: “The sanctuary that we now
enjoy was Phase I of building plans conceived in 1996, and became
Project 2000. The project, our current sanctuary, was completed in 2003,
with 25,000 square feet of space, at a cost of 3.5 million dollars. Now, our new leader, Pastor Reginald G. Reid, Sr., understands our Phase II Plan, and we as a team are embracing his vision to make Phase II happen.
Although we have some five acres of land behind us, the topography will not lend itself to building such a facility as our leadership has envisioned. The goal of the Vision is to build a structure facing Lakeshore Drive. The landowners to the west, next door, were contacted on four separate occasions. They have chosen not to sell any of their forty plus acres in parts.
With the help of an architectural firm, we have studied our property layout, and reviewed our current and future needs for this ministry to thrive! A design for consideration has been recommended.
Presently, no interior design plans have been finalized, however, Pastor Reid’s two major stipulations are that the buildings must be interconnected so that no one would have to go out in the weather, and the design would look like no other campus in the city. Deacon Andrews concluded by asking members to help make Phase II a reality by embracing “The Fabulous Faith Fund,” a fundraiser to promote the success of this vision.
