    SEVERE WEATHER
PROTOCOL
_____________________________________________________________
• One long whistle/air horn signifies all training and games are to be suspended and all participants, coaches, parents, players will take shelter.
• Lightning detector is utilized for severe weather. Fields will be closed if lightning is detected within a 10---mile radius of the facility.
• If lightning is detected within 10 miles, a "warning blast" (one long blast) is sounded by the horn.
• Jubilee City Tournament Director and staff will monitor evacuation making certain all fields are cleared. All participants will be directed to cars. Parents are advised to stick around for the entire event in case there of potential bad weather. Clearing the field is non---negotiable.
• If fields are cleared due to thunder & lightning, the Jubilee City Tournament Director will wait 20---45 minutes from the last detected lightning strike. If no lightning strikes are detected for a period of 30 minutes, a second blast of the air horn will signify fields are reopened. The "All Clear" signal will be two short blasts. If we experience such a delay, the end time of the event will be moved back by 20 minutes.
IMPORTANT:
• Fields can be closed at any time if the Jubilee City Tournament Director feels it is not safe for players to play/train.
• The safety of our players is very important, please respect all decisions and act promptly.
• The Jubilee City Tournament Director and staff will be in constant communication with each Head Coach, if any bad weather occurs.
