      Reusing Foundations

      Ground and structure movement assessments
      Brief description:
Working with Walsh Associates CGL carried out extensive
site investigations, followed by ground movement and
foundation movement, for three multi-storey basement
designs. These were to limit the impact on sensitive local
structures including Network Rail viaducts, London
Underground tunnels, listed properties, National Grid, canal
      walls and temporary works infrastructure.

Ÿ WALLAP analysis of retaining wall movements
Ÿ FLAC 2D finite difference analysis for viaduct
          movements
        Ÿ PLAXIS 3D finite element for viaduct/construction
          movements
                                                                                          Camden Lock Village Construction
CGL analysed the sensitivity of the neighbouring constraints
to ground movement associated with pile wall installation
and deflection methodologies and sequencing comparing to
real time monitoring of wall and foundation behavior during
      construction.
