Nancy Devlin, the wife of the fallen Massachusetts State Trooper Thomas Devlin, recently participated in a panel
discussion on the Move Over Law, which requires drivers approaching a stationary emergency or maintenance
vehicle with flashing lights to move to the next adjacent lane and slow down if it is safe to do so. Methuen
Community Studios’s (MCS) “Behind
the Blue Lens” show is hosted by Nancy
Reardon and Methuen Police Lt. Joseph
Aiello. “Behind the Blue Lens” and MCS
were honored to have Nancy Devlin,
wife of Fallen State Trooper Thomas
Devlin, Deputy Chief, Dan Donahue of
the Methuen Fire Department, and Bob
Sheehan of Sheehan’s Towing on our
latest episode to discuss the importance
of Massachusetts’s “Move Over Law”.
On September 3, 2020, Trooper Devlin
succumbed to injuries sustained on July
26, 2018, when he was struck by a vehicle on Route 3 in Billerica while conducting a traffic stop. The program
delved into some important safety issues and aired throughout June.
