OFFICE OF DIVERSITY AND EQUAL OPPORTUNITY
In January of 2017, ODEO members
conducted Operation Diversity, an effort to
increase minority registration for the Civil Service
test. Members met with clergy, business leaders,
and community organizers in Mattapan, Lowell,
Springfield and New Bedford to identify candidates,
foster interest in law enforcement careers, and
speak to the citizens about the role of the State
Police. ODEO members also continued to attend
seminars, Civil Service events, staff information
tables and respond to requests for information,
