FIRE
● If you encounter fire, the priority is to leave the building;
● Only trained management/operatives are allowed to use fire extinguishers and
only if it is safe to do so;
● Make everyone aware that there is a fire, shout “Fire, Fire” and,or
break the glass on the call point to raise the alarm;
● As soon as possible, inform management that there is a fire on the premises;
● If required, call the Fire Brigade.
EVACUATION
● On hearing the full fire alarm, go immediately to the Fire
Assembly Point as indicated using the nearest fire exit point;
● DO NOT WAIT TO COLLECT BELONGINGS;
● Follow the directional Fire escape signage;
● Wait at the Assembly Point;
● Answer your name at the roll call;
● Only return to work when authorised to do so.
FIRE PREVENTION
● Do not smoke in the building only in the designated shelter area;
● Stub out cigarette butts and place in the bins provided;
● Keep fire door closed, do not wedge open;
● Do not overload sockets.
