An interminably long silence ensued between us, as she patiently waited
for the intention of her question to register with me. The wise friend who counted on me for insight into purpose and inspiration was now returning the favor for me. In her silence, I came
to see that none of us are off-duty
in this thing. Now, more than ever, standing in our purpose and values
is exactly what is needed to heal our communities and shape the future we now have the opportunity to bring forth.
COVID-19 has leveled the playing field, and it’s going to take each one of us bringing our best to get things back on track and working well again. My purpose is to help people discover their passion and purpose and then inspire them to contribute mightily
to make the difference worthy of their one, precious life. I value empowering and uplifting people. Before now, I personally have not lived through a time when we needed the orienting power of purpose to guide our contributions, values to steward our choices and actions, and inspiration to gird our ongoing effort.
The world is officially counting on each of us to do our part, and it is so enlivening when we dig deep and give our best. Let’s do this thing, together.
