pelled to leave his native country- He possessed
an estate or plantation near the Blue Mountains,
a range which crosses part of the state of New
York, and which abounds in deer and various
Varieties of wild animals.
One day the youngest of Le Fevre’a children—
a hoy about four years, of age—disappeared early
in the morning, no one in the family being able
to discover what had become of him. After
