to ensure you see specifically how your gifts reach the hearts of those who need it most. This year, we’re honored that Charity Navigator has given Northridge Hospital Foundation a perfect score of 100/100 in several categories.

The Northridge Hospital Foundation was recognized
for our financial stability, efficiency, and sustainability.
We received top marks for the percent of the total expenses we allocate to the programs and services outlined in this Impact Report. We’re proud to be recognized for making good use of donor resources to achieve the actual impact we have on the lives we serve. The Northridge Hospital Foundation strives to ensure every dollar gifted is put into action to improve the lives of our patients and community.
Culture & Community: 100 out of 100
Charity Navigator evaluated our ability to listen to our constituents’ feedback to better understand our community’s unique needs–most notably in regards to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. We were then assessed on our follow through to effectively meet those needs–whether it’s implementing patient well-being programs, procuring educational outreach sponsorships, conducting heart disease prevention classes in Spanish, or providing a
ride to an elderly cancer patient who is unable to drive. We strive to keep a finger on the pulse of our community and adapt to any changes with effective health care solutions that make a difference.
Leadership & Adaptability: 100 out of 100
Charity Navigator assessed our leadership’s ability to
think strategically in order to respond to changes to
social and economic conditions to achieve the mission
of CommonSpirit Health to “make the healing presence
of God known in our world by improving the health of
the people we serve.” At Northridge Hospital Foundation, our leaders support our fundraising efforts to enhance the lives of people in the communities we serve by supporting hospital initiatives such as the COVID-19 vaccination clinics, expansion of the emergency department, purchasing state-of-the-art equipment, and training and recruiting of doctors and nurses.
