18th Annual Victory for
Victims Virtual Walk/Run
The 18th Annual Victory for Victims Virtual Walk/Run transitioned to a virtual event due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the efforts of runners, walkers, sponsors, and donors we still raised over $111,000 for the Center for Assault Treatment Services, which provides services to victims of sexual assault, human trafficking and domestic violence 24/7.

Santa to Underserved Children
For 19 years, the Holiday Jam has delighted thousands of children from Los Angeles Unified School District’s “Title 1/No Child Left Behind” program. This past December, over 350 under- served children from the San Fernando Valley celebrated a gifted holiday with a mobile gaming truck, carnival games, arts and
crafts, food, a photo

backpack filled with
presents to take home.
For many, this is the
only Christmas these
children have.

The mission of the Harold & Carole Pump Foundation is to raise funds for the treatment and cure of cancer. By engaging the community, sports leaders, and those touched by this disease, financial support is given to procure cancer-fighting technology and develop cancer treatments, programs and services.

Free Cancer Screenings: Thanks to the generosity of the Harold & Carole Pump Foundation, the hospital hosted 12 FREE “Reaching Out” health fairs where free breast screening exams and follow-up services were provided to 828 women who are uninsured or under-insured.
Education: The Outreach Program’s staff attended 55 community events and educated to 6,047 people on cancer awareness in both English and Spanish.
Family Plan Fund: This plan assists patients and their families with payment for services, equipment needs, home health care, and transportation to and from the Leavey Cancer Center and Carole Pump Women’s Center. In FY20, this program provided patients with 179 hours of in-home care and 1,654 trips for treatment.
Steppin’ Out Raises $380,000
The 2019 Steppin’ Out 2019 “Celebration of Hope” Gala raised $380,000, which helped purchase new Echocardiogram ultrasound machines for Northridge Hospital. We were honored to present the 2019 “Celebration of Hope” award to Los Angeles District Attorney Jackie Lacey and the “Grace Leland Physician Appreciation” award to Nephrologist, Moufid Nemeh, MD.
