• More immune-consistent across geographies and
seasons.
In short: more human.
Because the body doesn’t care how clever the process was.
It cares how stable the outcome is.
And with AI, that outcome no longer needs perfect
conditions.
Just the right intelligence to see the pattern through the
noise.
Step 7: Quality Control and Standardization
Biologics—whether grown in a reactor or a romaine—must
meet rigorous standards. Every batch must be tested for
protein identity, potency, purity, and consistency. In plant-
made systems, this involves:
• Bioactivity assays to confirm therapeutic function
• Protein quantification to ensure proper dosing
• Microbial testing to confirm absence of pathogens
or contaminants
• Lot traceability, connecting each batch to its
source plant, growth conditions, and gene construct
Standardization is critical: patients can’t take a different
dose just because the plant grew faster this week. Through
careful control of growing conditions, harvesting protocols,
and processing, edible biologics can meet the same quality
benchmarks as their injectable counterparts.
