When it comes to your federal employee benefits, what you don’t
know can hurt you. Unwanted or not, you have formed a partnership
with the federal government when you signed the forms to elect your
benefit choices. As with any partnership, you must take an active role to
get the most from that relationship. Standing on the sidelines and just
letting things “happen” is a position that can cost you and your family.
View your benefits as a tool.
When you purchase a tool at the hardware store you don’t bring it
home, hang it on the wall, put it in storage and wait for it to perform the
task you acquired it for. You make sure you understand how to use it, so
it accomplishes the task it is intended for, and to make sure you handle
it properly so that it doesn’t hurt you. Our goal is to help you utilize the
benefit tools that you have chosen in a manner that will help you achieve
the goals, objectives and priorities for your retirement dreams. In
addition, we will help you maximize your benefits while you are still
working. So, grab your tools and let’s get started! Our first project is just
ahead.
