Brick By Brick Amy Ward
Now a house by the side
of the road,
But I wasn’t always here in this one-horse town.
My foundation, my beginning, Used to be in another space And time.
Created by hard men, Good men,
Then brought to an enchanted forest And made again
And again Into many cottages,
Inhabited by bears and witches alike.
When the magic faded, So did I.
I was knocked down,
Torn
Down.
Then when enough time had passed,
I was unearthed and brought to this one-horse town And re-built with a bit of magic left in my dust, Vines creeping from me
Brick
By
Brick.
