Selling Childhood?*
I'm selling my Xbox 360 today. My childhood sold
away, cut from me
all for some room–
but maybe it will no
longer be collecting dust. Maybe it will get some use.
Or it won’t and it will just be used for parts. I will never know.
All I will know is the hours
spent in front of the tv with
my nephews, laughing through
our childhood and littering Terarria's sandbox with gravestones.
Maybe it's good that I will never be able to visit
that world again. After all, the world is filled with ghosts and gravestones of my nephews’ names.
