Priest. Darian still had flesh, so either the loop only affected the original inhabitants or it took longer for outsiders to be incorporated into it. Same applied to me, since I was technically just a spirit with a flesh puppet, I must not be affected. My knowledge of time loops was minimal but there had to be a caster and based on the architecture of Arasta Village, they couldn’t be human. They couldn’t be human... then it clicked. The legend about the angel had to do something with this, I knew that much. So I was off yet again. Now knowing nothing living would be in my way, I sprinted straight to the Temple. If anything the smaller body was quite agile and I climbed the massive marble staircase up to the Temple quite fast. The prayer hall was dark but my eyes had gotten quite used it by now and I managed to find my bearings. At the end of the hall was a small passage way to another room, so I carefully made my way down it. The inner hall was small, dozens of skeletons kneeled before a throne. It was clear the statue of whatever god this belonged to was demolished and replaced with that golden throne. Carefully I hopped over the ‘people’ and finally made out who was in the throne or better said, what was once there. The holy presence came from a mummified corpse with long gray hair and a tattered white dress. Two shredded wings hung lifelessly in the air. The legend was correct, there was once an angel here but now this was all that was left of it. In its lap lay a small scroll which I ‘borrowed’ and shoved into my clothes for now. A time loop needed a host and this mummy was exactly that. Seeing those people just repeat the same things over and over again was hard and I knew this couldn’t go on, so I had to stop this by any means necessary. I held out my right arm and closed my eyes.
“I summon you, tool of darkness and death. Come to me, Retribution!”
