This poem was inspired by the suicide of a dear co-worker, Bill Murray (age 64):
The pain Bill felt
No one can know
The pain so great
He chose to go.
He didn't fight
He gave up hope
Lonely and sad
He could not cope.
We must not judge
The path he chose
Nor feel that we
Have failed him.
He could not change
His circumstance
The only way to heal him.
The Lord will now embrace him
And take away his pain
The peace that he so needed
He has found, once again.
