Brothers of the Eastern Province Metro Founders’ Day Celebration:
It is my pleasure to welcome you to another successful Metro Founders’ Day celebration hosted by the Eastern Province.
This is our annual time to reflect on the Fraternity’s phenomenal history and honor those remarkable young men who fashioned an organization unique amongst all “Black Greek-Letter Organizations”.
I encourage you to take this time to fellowship with each other, remembering the historical “glory” but not forgetting to tell our “story.” It is important for brothers who have been in the Bond a while to share with younger members what it truly means to be a Kappa.
Your program theme, “Revitalizing the Dream, Re-energizing the Bond”, bespeaks the significance of this great occasion. Encourage each other to live large and never allow our memories to become greater than our dreams. Our Founders lived in the present as they prepared for the future and always focused on the tenet of helping each other achieve in every field of human endeavor.
Our Creed mandates us to encourage a spirit of fraternity and an unswerving fidelity to each other, to the cause of achievement and the interest of mankind. We must encourage each other to rededicate ourselves to this timeless idea than to show our love and commitment to each other tonight.
