Dear Brothers of the Eastern Province,
On behalf of all the Brothers of the College Park/Sandy Spring (MD) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and all the participating Metropolitan DC/MD/VA area chapters, we would like to welcome you to the 45th Annual Metro Founders Day Celebration. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our Metro Founders Day Committee Chairman and the 7th Polemarch of the College Park/Sandy Spring Alumni Chapter, Brother Sean Osborne Sr., and all of the CPSS Brothers as part of his committee for their tireless efforts in pulling together this first of its kind virtual Metro Founders Day.
Thank you to our esteemed 34th Grand Polemarch, Reuben A. Shelton III, Esq. and our 29th Eastern Province Polemarch Charles Exum Jr. for their leadership and participation in event. Given the continuing risks and challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, our planning committee made the decision to host the 2021 Metro Founders Day event as virtual celebration. While we may be virtual, the energy, the need and the message remain the same. We entreat you to celebrate our 110 years of Achievement in Kappa with exuberance and celebrate how we have continued to build on what our Revered Founders have started. Be thankful for those who are with us; assist and pray for those who are less fortunate or in need. Let us put that same energy into Kappa today that we did when we were on the outside looking in, wishing to be part of Phi Nu Pi. That is how we can embody our theme of “Revitalizing the Dream, Reenergizing the Bond”.
