 Sekta-ni-sing       White haricot beans




                     A RELATIVE OF THE BAKED BEAN FAMILY, THESE ARE PACKED WITH PROTEIN
 KNOWN AS THE DRUMSTICK BEAN, THIS IS A GREEN VEGETABLE IN A LONG
 STICK-LIKE POD. THE OUTER POD IS NOT EDIBLE. THE ONLY EDIBLE PARTS   Preparation time: 10 minutes    2 tbsp cooking oil
 ARE THE BEANS INSIDE, AND THEY ARE A RARE DELICACY  not including overnight soaking   ½ tsp carom seeds
                         Cooking time: 20 minutes             1 tsp fresh crushed garlic
                         Serves 4                             1 tsp sesame seeds
 Preparation time: 10 minutes    1 tbsp cooking oil           2 tomatoes liquidised

 1 tsp salt               1 cup white haricot beans or        2 tbsp plain yoghurt

                                                       Method
 Method             1 Soak the beans overnight in warm water.

 1 Scrape the drumsticks, then cut them into long pieces and wash well.
