INTRODUCTION

A. Title Description

What do you know about Greeting and Leave-Taking?

Greeting is an expression used by people to start a

conversation, while leave-taking is an expression used to

end a conversation or meeting. Have you ever greeted a

friend with Hello or Hi Hello and Hi are examples of greeting
expression that are often used to greet or start a

conversation. After that, one usually also says How are

you? to ask about the other person's condition.

Do you know why we need to learn leave-taking? Usually

if we are going to part with someone, we will say good bye,

or see you later. So, learning leave-taking will help us to be

able to say goodbye properly with the people around us.

B. Prerequisite

To be able to understand this module, you are expected

to have read the material on To Be. In addition, try to

understand the use of To Be, when to use am, is, and are. If

you have fulfilled these prerequisites, then you will be able

to use greeting and leave-taking expressions.
