What a great start to the year we have had in all our Branches. The children
have settled in nicely and have established good routines with their teacher and
friends. We had a very busy October with so many fun things planned for our
EY Branches. Our Topic during this month was all about ‘A Healthy Me’! and the
children learned all about what keeps us healthy, food we eat, exercise we take, etc.
To make this fun for the children, we taught this in a variety of different
ways including songs, stories, dramatic play, and activities. Classroom learning is
great, but it is important that the children get to experience activities outside of the
classroom and so as part of this Topic we went on a visit to our local CO-OP,
where we looked at all the different healthy fruits and vegetables and talked
about how they keep us healthy. We had a Healthy Living Week and Open Day
th
20 – 24 October where we had different activity stations related to our Topic
for the children to complete, including English, Mathematics and Arabic. We were
excited that parents will be invited along to get a little insight into what their
children learned in school and the different ways in which they learn it. At the
th
end of the month, Saturday 26 October we had an International Day in our
Branches where we celebrated different countries and their cultures by dressing up
in the traditional dress, tasted different foods and participate in different fun
activities. We loved this fantastic celebration!
