Morning sightseeing with a Local Guide featured the Parthenon's crowning beauty atop the
ACROPOLIS, the Erechtheum with its Porch of Maidens, the beautifully preserved Theseum, Roman
Temple of Zeus, Theatre of Dionysus, and the Agora where Socrates taught. Vistas of the Royal
Palace, government buildings, and elegant homes in the modern city provided a striking contrast to
the remains of the glorious past. As we were not far from our hotel we walked back, shower and wash
our clothes.
The afternoon was free, and we just relaxed in our air conditioned room; too hot outside.
We signed up for the optional Greek dinner for the night. Our Host knew where to find local fare and
entertainment reminiscent of Zorba the Greek.
We admired the illuminated harbour of Microlimano before enjoying our four-course dinner with
drinks included at one of the city's finest restaurants. We had spectacular views of the Acropolis and
Lycabettus Hill.
