2017: Trip to Wandouw, PNG – The logistic team and onshore route into the forest.

The speed boat scheduled to wait for our team at the meeting place had not
arrived yet when the first part of our team arrived. So we had to wait. It did not make
a lot of difference since the burden-carrying group had not showed up as well. But,
everybody knew that we were already very late and the evening time was already in
place. Suddenly from behind the overhanging branches of trees and its leaves which
covered most part of the space above the small river a noise emerged from the air and
the shaking water. As the time had passed finally the speedboat was suddenly
launching from behind ‘the curtain of leaves’ and shored on the bank near our location.
Thank God again! The decision was quickly made: the first trip to ‘the river- port’ had
