up our pace since we were mindful that night was approaching and an
encounter with a wild animal was a possibility. As we briskly walked in the

direction of the temple, thoughts of darkness and coming face to face with
a ferocious animals were the furthest from our minds, as the serenity of the

forest enveloped us in a trance-like meditation.

Not long into our hike towards the temple and to our utter surprise; we met

with His Majesty, The Fourth King and the Queen Mother Tshering Pem
Wangchuck. We were overwhelmed by feelings of bliss, happiness and

excitement and stepped to the side of the path. His Majesty asked us if

we were going to the temple to which we replied that we were going there
to offer our prayers. As it was already getting late His Majesty immediately

warned us to be careful of wild animals. Her Majesty also said that there were
lots of bears and wild boars in the vicinity-such was His Majestyûs

              concern and care for us.

As night was fast approaching we were reminded of our encounter with His
Majesty and decided to heed to the advice and turn back for fear of wild

animals. In any case, by the time we reached the temple it would surely

              be closed.

After walking few kilometers back down the road from the BBS Tower, a RBG
(Royal Body Guard) Van came up the road and stopped near us. Two army

personnel enquired whether we had visited the temple or not and that His

Majesty had sent them to help us on the way with torches. Such was His
Majestyûs unwavering and unconditional concern for the citizens of our nation,

which made us to shed tears of joy. We were speechless and could only
manage to look at each other in shock. No words could describe the feelings

we felt that day - it was like time stood still and we were in a dream - like

              state.
