Page 10 - E-BOOK OPINION AND THOUGHT
P. 10
You can agree or disagree as long as you
DID YOU have reason of your opinion. Opinion can be
expressed using mental verbs like believe,
KNOW ?
think, doubt, assume, feel, etc.
To respond an opinion or thought, one can either agree or disagree with it. We agree with the
other person when we have the same opinion as she/he does, or when we approve or accept
something. On the other hand, we disagree with the other person when we have different
opinion from her/his, or we object his/her opinion. In a discussion to reach a decision,
everyone present will definitely convey their own opinions and opinions. However, from the
opinions issued there must be pros (agree) and cons (disagree). This is fine, considering that
everyone has their own thoughts. Of course the agreement is used when you are in the same
"position" as the other person. Meanwhile, disagreement is used when you feel that what the
other person said doesn't make you comfortable. In English, to express expressions of
agreeing and disagreeing with an opinion/opinion, we usually use agree and disagree
sentences. Do you know the meaning of agree and disagree?
C. Agreeing With an Opinion
If you agree with an opinion, then you can express it as follows:
This is absolutely right
Of course
I couldn’t agree more
I agree with this opinion
I agree. I never thought
I agree with what you are saying but about that
have you ever…
I think so too
That is a good point
