The victim's name will not be revealed, as requested by the victim. From now on,
we will refer to him as "Totis' boy"
Totis, a famous snack for children had been sold within CBTIs doors.
Traditionally, they were sold by boys carrying huge sacks filled with the
aforementioned item. They would always carry a Valentina glass-made bottle with
them, pouring it for some more spiciness. Totis' boy was not an exemption.
He expanded its own business, adding Tortas (sandwiches) to the menu.
Selling goods within School is no crime. His background could probably add more
to the case than just a brief on school regulations. Mexico's evident inequality, as
well as weak and inefficient bureaucracy pushes people, not only students to
"commit such atrocities". Generally speaking, it is a common (but illegal) practice
for students to sell sweets, This rises a question, were Mr Amaya's actions the
best? if it's commonly accepted, what are the plans from the Education Authorities
to eradicate them?
In conclusion, Mr Amaya's actions are not excusable. He abused his position,
bypassing the school's regulations and threatening a student in the process.
Future Principals and students altogether, ought to work closely with Education
Authorities to stop this problem from its roots. The not only abuse of power is
being talked about, but the evident lack of empathy of some teachers.
