*Superlative adjectives denote the extreme presence of a characteristic among a
set of objects being compared. Superlative adjectives are associated with the object
that exemplifies that characteristic most. It is usually formed by adding the suffix
–est to the adjective, followed by the word “than”. If the adjective cannot be modi-
fied, the word “most” can be added before the term.
