But since he is a nice guy, you wouldn't want to let your

boss know about this and you can not tell it to him as

well because you are shy.

Why don't you send him an e-mail?

Sometimes it's easier to write how you feel than to talk

to him; tell him how you feel about the situation and wait

for his response.
