Chapter 1 Self Introduction

                   Unit 1: Introduction

Let us begin the interview with a brief self introduction. Please tell something about
yourself and the things that you do for a living.

              Answer A:
Hello. My name is Min Young Lee. You may call me Grace. I grew up in Seoul and still reside
here with my family. I am a senior student taking up a degree in Public Administration. Working
in a government office someday or running for public office is my ambition. Since childhood,
my father noticed leadership skills and an outgoing personality in me. My mom, who works as
a social worker, supports me with my studies and my plans in life. Right now, I am in my last
semester of schoolwork, so I am quite busy doing my undergraduate thesis and studying a few
more major subjects. Graduation is a few months away, so I have to focus more on academics
than on extra-curricular activities. Nevertheless, I make sure that I still have time for recreation.

              Points to emphasize in answering:

Begin by stating your complete name and a nickname.
[example: My name Min Young Lee. You may call me Grace.]

                   Add personal information like:
                   - place of residence or hometown

                   Mention your current occupation.
[example: I am a senior university student taking up a degree in
                           Public Administration.]

Continue the discussion by stating some details related to your choice of college major.
[example: Working in a government office someday or running for public
                           office is my ambition.]

End your introduction with a sentence that concludes the discussion.
