Dear Chicken Diary,
On my way home, I saw Slim sitting alone
on a park bench. I took a chance and asked him
what was wrong. He seemed so surprised that I
had asked.
“Sometimes I feel like I don’t belong,” Slim told
me. “I make jokes when I’m nervous, and I know I
hurt others’ feelings. It’s just that I want so much
to be a good actor, but all I ever get are small
parts. My career will never get off the ground.” I
was very glad I took Luz’s advice to talk to him!
